At the end of the conference, nine Best Paper Awards were announced with the aim of recognizing outstanding papers in each stream of our technical program. Among the criteria taken into consideration for the selection were the degree of novelty and innovation, the applicability in the industry, the quality of writing and the quality of technical content or scientific methodology.
For the first time, one “Special Mention” paper was also selected for each of the subjects : Bauxite, Alumina, Bauxite Residue, Electrodes, Aluminium Electrolysis, and Casthouse Operation. These papers were all very close to being selected as best papers.
